Quercus is looking for a Publicity Assistant to join its busy press office on a one-year fixed term contract.
This entry-level position is ideal for someone looking to get into publishing PR. You will have demonstrable interest in publishing and an awareness of how PR can affect the success of a book. You will be responsible, enthusiastic and have excellent organisational skills and a willingness to learn. As well as assisting the Publicity Director with her titles you will provide support to the whole team on a range of tasks, as well as having particular responsibilities of your own to assist the smooth running of the department. Your role may include travelling with authors and attending a range of events.
This is a busy position for which you will be provided full training and support but will require you to use your own initiative to problem solve and prioritise your workload. Ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills and telephone manner. You will be joining an energetic, fun and successful team in a company that offers excellent benefits.
