We have an exciting opportunity for a talented publicist to join the Vintage publicity team, part of the Penguin Random House Group, the world’s largest book publisher, from mid-June 2018 for a maternity cover.
As Publicity Manager you will be working on a wide range of fiction and non-fiction titles from across Vintage’s critically acclaimed imprints. This will include prize-winning literary novels, bestselling non-fiction, a vibrant poetry list and graphic novels. We publish authors such as Yuval Harari, Julian Barnes, Afua Hirsch, Jo Nesbo, Nigella Lawson, Ian McEwan, Simon Schama, Yanis Varoufakis, Anne Enright, Michael Ondaatje, Alison Bechdel, Ocean Vuong, Irvine Welsh and Haruki Murakami to name just a few.
This prestigious and diverse range of books demands imagination, energy and tremendous enthusiasm. Reporting to the Publicity Director for the Jonathan Cape and Bodley Head imprints, the role requires a strong team player who will plan and implement fully integrated PR, digital campaigns and events.
With experience of delivering outstanding author care, you will have demonstrated your ability to obtain high-profile media coverage that helps drive sales and to strategically target publicity towards an identified readership. As a self-starter, you will thrive in a busy environment and enjoy developing innovative approaches to launching and building author profiles and brands. You will be an experienced communicator with strong relationships and excellent contacts.
