Booking is now open for the PPC Junior Publicists’ Training Day
Online via Zoom
Morning of Tuesday 24th November
Afternoon of Thursday 26th November
We are delighted to announce that places are now available to book for our annual Junior Publicists’ Training Day, a rite of passage for publicists across the industry! The day is open to publicists at the beginning of their career (publicity assistants, press officers, publicity executives, etc) and will provide an introduction to publicising books and authors. This year, we will be conducting the workshops online over two half days. You’ll need to attend both sessions to get the most out of what would normally be a whole day in person. So come, learn all you can about book publicity, ‘meet’ journalists and network with other publishing publicists.
The training day will consist of multiple talks and Q&A sessions and breakout groups with your peers providing the opportunity to discuss what you learn and workshop campaigns.
We will be joined by media professionals including:
Molly Guinness from Times Radio
Daisy Buchanan from the You’re Booked podcast
Keeba Critchlow from the Mail on Sunday
Sarah Fairbairn from the Jewish Book Week events team
Cyan Turan from Cosmopolitan
We will also be welcoming outstanding publicists from the industry to explain how they brilliantly executed a recent campaign.
Material will be sent out to attendees to read ahead of the event and we’ll need to know what kind of publicity (children’s, non-fiction, cookery, etc) you work on in advance so we can tailor the day and breakout groups accordingly. You will need to come prepared to brainstorm campaigns and share ideas with one another.
The cost of the day is £65 per person and places are limited to 40 so please email
firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your place as soon as you can. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis (to those who email first).
Please do not pay until you have received notification confirming that you have a place.
Please note there is no option to book the sessions/half days individually.
Timing and Payment information:
24th November session will begin at 9.45am and end at 1pm.
