COOK BOOK PROMOTIONAL OPPORTUNITY
Harbour Salmon is a leading brand of infused salmon fillets distributed through major supermarkets. They are looking for anything between 10-100 fish cookbooks to give away as prizes to respondents to a survey.
They will shortly be mailshotting their database (currently 3,500 members, all known salmon consumers) using the books as an incentive to respond. They will use any content and imagery the publishers can provide to talk up the value and appeal of the books.

Loose Women
Loose Women goes out live every weekday on ITV1 between 12.30 and 1.30pm. The only show with an all-female panel, it offers a mix of intelligent topical discussion, celebrity interviews and fun.
Panellists include Ruth Langsford, Kaye Adams, Janet Street Porter, Sherrie Hewson and new additions to the team Gloria Hunniford, Penny Lancaster and Judy Finnigan.
They are interested in well known actors, comedians, celebrity chefs, TV personalities, musicians, sportsmen and famous novelists. Guests who have been on to talk about their publications include Sir Roger Moore, June Brown, Emma Thompson, Joan Collins, John Bishop, Frank Lampard, Helen Fielding, and celebrity chefs such as Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and Lorraine Pascale. In terms of following other television shows, this is done on a case by case basis. Ideally they like to be the first daytime interview.
They have a dedicated online producer and can offer online competition prizes eg signed books as well as links to the author online.

Blogger request for books to review
I am a blogger who writes about sports, but from a perspective of where sport and other culture overlaps, for example authors who played football, or art about sport. I have done a few book reviews on my site, www.putnielsingoal.com , and I also write for various magazine and blog on the Huffington Post and Sabotage Times. My blog is a popular community blog which sometimes writes about books, but I am always looking to broaden the range. I get between 9000-10000 hits a month, so any books reviewed by me would reach a good audience, and one which is already predisposed to a more cerebral approach to sports. New travel books spread in Telegraph
Got a travel book to promote? Then you might like to know that the travel section of the Telegraph will soon have a new monthly spread on books. It will be written by Michael Kerr, who has just left the full-time staff of the travel desk after more than 20 years to find more time to write himself.
Six months ago, Kerr, a champion of great narrative travel writing, started a new website, Deskbound Traveller (www.deskboundtraveller.com), where he features not only non-fiction but also novels and poetry that convey a strong sense of place and work by photographers and illustrators.
