Contract: Full-time
Salary: Circa £30k to £36k per annum depending on experience

Are you a press officer looking for your next opportunity to work in book PR? Carver PR are looking for a publicist to join their new and thriving books division. The role will be responsible for delivering high impact PR campaigns for a variety of clients, across non-fiction and fiction.
Key responsibilities:
- Independently plan and implement campaigns that deliver on all available PR opportunities, covering traditional and non-traditional media, and including print, broadcast, online and events
- Work closely with clients, maintaining communication throughout campaigns and provide a high level of author and agent care at all times
- Develop and maintain relationships with journalists and producers
- Respond to journalist requests efficiently
- Showcase keen knowledge of the book industry
- Communicate and work collaboratively with colleagues in the Carver PR office
- Occasionally attend and manage events
- Accompany clients to media appearances
- Maintain high standards of presentation and attention to details
- From time to time attend new business meetings with Head of Books
Person specification:
- An in-depth knowledge of the UK books landscape
- Great contacts with journalists and producers
- Copywriting and pitching skills
- 3+ years’ publicity experience, preferably with demonstrable non-fiction experience
- Project management skills
- Resilient and confident in managing multiple projects, prioritising time effectively
