FMcM, the books PR agency, is looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic, and versatile
Communications Assistant to work with the team on books and author campaigns and to
provide administrative support to ensure the smooth running of our business. The successful
candidate will be closely involved with campaigns for some of the most prominent authors,
publishers and initiatives in the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Production of press releases and campaign reports
- Relevant research tasks related to creative campaigns
- Assist with running company social media channels, producing graphics and other
marketing materials - Organise mailings and handle general media enquiries
- Perform administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the office
- Maintenance of client and contact databases
- Arrange client schedules and book travel
- Coordinate internal and external meetings, maintain agendas, minutes and diaries
- Collate and distribute media coverage
- Conduct influencer and partnership research, outreach, and mailings
- Assist with the organisation and delivery of events
- Communicate any challenges or concerns in a timely manner, seeking guidance from
project and line managers
Requirements:
- An understanding of, and interest in, the media landscape and publishing industry
- Previous work experience in related arts and communications roles
- Creative and proactive in seeking information
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Professional, proactive, and organised
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to prioritise and juggle competing demands in a busy office
- Curiosity in a range of genres and ability to work on a wide variety of projects
- Skilled in the use of MS Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel) and the Adobe
- Creative Suite
This is a permanent, full-time position based in our London office.
